Addiciton MedicineAbdel Fahmy, M.D.Addiction Medicine Dr. Fahmy’s clinical interests include pain management, obesity and drug addiction. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Certified in Hospice and Palliative Medicine, Board Certified in Addiction Medicine and is a Certified Professional in Health Information and Management Systems. Dr. Abdel Fahmy received his medical degree from Cairo University School of Medicine
in Cairo, Egypt. He completed his Residency in Internal Medicine at Catholic Health
Partners in Chicago and was an attending staff member at Glen Oaks Hospital in
Glendale Heights and at Mount Sinai Hospital in Chicago. Dr. Fahmy is currently the
President of the Illinois Society of Addiction Medicine in Chicago, is a co-chair of the
Illinois Advisory Board for Alcohol and Substance Abuse and is a Member of the Special Areas of Expertise Pain management
